If I was asked to look back at my 79 years of life and to tell you what was important to me, what I enjoy most, what I would like to be remembered for, I would tell you this:

I am a nurturer of others (advocate for those diagnosed with Dementia and for my fellow LGBTQ Community), a collector of small things (Michael’s Museum at Chicago Children’s Museum and Michael’s Museum Evanston Campus), a writer/poet, (over 25 books, blogs, and articles of poetry, memoirs, photography, and self-help), and a philanthropist (founder of The Gregory Maire Education Fund at La Casa Norte).
