Teller Madsen Museum Exhibit Design
I placed a sheet of plate glass in front of a photograph of a Polish rabbi by Roman Vishniac and then smashed the glass. You don't have to read to understand that violence was done. This installation commemorated Kristallnacht, the night of broken glass, in Nazi Germany. It formed part of an educational and emotional exhibit that was a permanent installation at the Spertus Museum in Chicago prior to its move to a new building.
